The Scheldt: Bossuit and the Avelgem wetlands
Water provides a natural thread for your stay. The Bossuit-Kortrijk canal links the Moen area to the Scheldt at Bossuit. Around Avelgem, the landscape opens into meadows and former river channels. Choose a walk in the Scheldemeersen or plan a cycling loop using the canal and river as landmarks.

The Flemish Ardennes: Kluisbergen, Oudenaarde and Ronse
Head to the Flemish Ardennes for hillier countryside. Kluisbergen combines Kluisbos woodland with the area around Kwaremont, while Muziekbos is a walking destination near Ronse. Woods, rural paths and climbs make a day here quite different from a stroll along the canal.
In Oudenaarde, combine a walk by the Scheldt with the market square, town hall and cycling culture. Ronse offers heritage in the town centre and walks in the surrounding countryside. Choose one main destination for the day so there is time to pause along the way.
Lille: a day in northern France
Lille adds a city outing to your stay. Explore Vieux-Lille, browse the shops and stop for lunch, or make the Palais des Beaux-Arts the focus of your day. A few sights within walking distance give you time to enjoy the city without rushing.
